The Academy of American Studies is located one block north of Queens Plaza near the entrance to the 59th Street Bridge. Remember: West is over the bridge, east is away from the bridge.
By subway:
E, R, V to Queens Plaza
If coming from Queens, stay to the back and exit the platform level at the back most stairway. If coming from Manhattan, stay to the front and exit the platform level at the front most stairway.
Exit the station from the left stairway onto Queens Plaza North. You will be in front of the former Chase Bank. Make a right and a right to walk around the Chase Bank onto 41 Avenue.

F to 21 Street/Queensbridge
Exit the station on the east side of 21 Street and 41 Avenue. Walk 4 blocks east.

Right turn on 38th Avenue to 28th Street

From upper Manhattan, the Bronx and Westchester:
Triborough Bridge to the first exit in Queens--31 Street
Right turn onto 31 Street under the elevated N & W train
31 Street south to 38th Avenue
Right turn on 38th Avenue to 28th Street
Left turn on 28th Street
The school is on 41 Avenue in between 28th & 29th Streets
From Brooklyn:
BQE north (278 East) to Northern Blvd.
Left turn onto Northern Blvd.
4 lights after Steinway Street is a Shell gas station (38 Avenue)
Bear right onto 38 Avenue
3 blocks after the elevated N train is 28th Street
Left turn on 28th Street
The school is on 41 Avenue in between 28th & 29th Streets
From Manhattan:
Queensborough Bridge Lower Roadway:
Stay in right lane!
Merge all the way over to the right when you get off the bridge
Right turn onto 27 Street
Right turn onto 42 Road--go three blocks
Right turn onto 23 Street--go three blocks
Right turn onto 41 Avenue
