School Survey 2023

Hello Academy families!

It is that time of year again when we ask all families to share their thoughts by taking the NYC School Survey. A change in this process by the DOE now requests that guardians complete a survey per each child in a NYC DOE school. The survey gives us a better understanding of what members of our school community think about the school. The information collected by the survey is designed to support a dialogue among all members of our school community about how to make the school a better place to learn. The school leaders use the feedback from the survey to reflect and improve schools and programs. Survey results are also used to help measure school quality. We will also collect responses from the students. The 2023 NYC School Survey launched today, February 13, 2023, and will close on March 31, 2023.

Take the Survey

Families can also access the survey by logging into their NYCSA account: Your NYC Schools Account.

To complete the survey you will need an access code. The code is as follows: a lowercase "f" followed by your child's osis (ID) number - no spaces.

If you have questions or need assistance please reach out to Ms. Alaimo ( dalaimo8@schools.nyc.gov).  Thank you for your continued support.

Regents Week - January 2023

There are no classes from Tuesday, January 24 through January 30.

Students registered for Regents Exams should follow the information on their exam invitation ticket.

Students will pick up Spring Programs and Metrocards on Monday, January 30th.

Classes resume on Tuesday, January 31 for the start of the Spring Semester/Marking Period #4.

Report Cards for Marking Period 3 will be distributed on January 31.

Student ID Cards

In working to create a culture of safety and professionalism, students will be required to wear their ID's at all times in the building.

Starting Monday, October 3rd, students will be required to swipe their ID to enter the school building as well as provide their IDs when entering the school restrooms.

If a student still has not received an ID card they are to fill out the request form when they enter the building in the morning and use the printed temporary pass for the day until Ms. Galletti gets you your ID.

Thank you for your support and cooperation with Academy's ID policy.

The DOE has decided to terminate its contract with Illuminate Education (Pupilpath). School staff, students, and guardians will no longer have access to this system as of June 30th. We have transitioned everything to a new system called NYCSA, where you will be able to access: Attendance, Grades, Report Cards, test scores, IEP, and more. Letters have been mailed home only to families who need to register an account with a personal activation code. If you do not have an account you may visit the following website to create one: https://www.schoolsaccount.nyc/

Students should be checking regularly their NYCStudents.net email account and Parents should register and sign up for the NYC Student Account (NYCSA).
